R1 stage (full first trifoliate leaf). Good nodulation on main root (from liquid inoculant). First pass of RoundUp WeatherMaxx applied yesterday along with 1 L/acre of Alpine. Looks like we should have good pod clearance.

Going into the R4. Flowering should happen soon. Moisture is "perfect". Good heat. Trifoliates are appearing every 4
July 11, 2012Flower has begun. Getting nice canopy closure in fields seeded at the proper rate. Good soil moisture, warm nights. So far so good.

R5 stage (full pod). nice stand looks like the white mold has not got any worse. Piles of pods. Lots of bottom leaves dropping off. Good pod development. pods pushing up over the top leaves.

September 20, 2012Basically dried down. Bit of green, few leaves on. Will be harvesting next weekend.
We now grow seed soybeans, spring and winter triticale, perennial ryegrass, and sainfoin, have short term alfalfa in rotation, and grow cover crops and grazing corn.
